Regardless of every other advanced feature a website or tool may offer its users, having a well designed “Search” feature is crucial in delivering a seamless user experience.  This general rule is especially applicable to systems that deal with consolidating and organising itemised data, like how a talent management agency does with their talents, clients, and projects.

As a platform designed to improve productivity and collaboration in model management agencies, StarAgent provides several convenient options to reduce your workload and facilitate efficiency in day-to-day workflow. Every feature that comes with this casting agency software is created to make running an agency easier, right from the simplest search option. Here we talk about the different options StarAgent offers to easily search for required information like talents, clients, projects and more, from what your agency has added on the platform.

Along with the main Search bar, each page on StarAgent has a dedicated Search panel for quicker results. As is to be expected, a search bar allows you to find what you are looking for quickly, without having to sift through the whole page. Let’s take a look at how this makes the job task of finding something easier for your agency.

Search to Find A Talent

  • The easiest way to search for a talent is to enter their name into the “Search by Name” field. StarAgent even includes slight spelling variations so that even fuzzy searches yield results.
  • If there are multiple talents with the same name, this might be a little confusing, which is where the second option helps – Talent Code. Every talent is assigned a unique ID when their profile is created on StarAgent, and this can be used to reach their profile in seconds from the “Search by Code” option.
  • In a different scenario, if you want to search for talents who have any particular or rare skill set which is not a part of predefined fields (for example, an athlete, a pianist, or a cosplay enthusiast), you may use the “Search by Tag” feature to filter your search and get results quickly. Of course, these tags must be added to the talent’s profile when created.

  • The best of all these is Advanced Search. This option which can be found on the Talents page, has categories like “Basic”, “Lifestyle”, and “Features”, and lets you search for talents based on specific traits. These can include their gender, age range, experience, ethnicity, hair color, body measurements, body type, skin color, skill, and more. For example, you could easily search for an experienced male Asian model with long black hair who knows how to swim if you enter the desired characteristics in the filters.
Search to Find a Project

  • Entering the project name in the main search bar yields the quickest results. The dedicated Search panel in the Projects section can also be used for this.
  • If you know the code assigned to the project when it was created on StarAgent, searching using the Project Code is the next best option.
  • More filters like start and end date of the project or the project status can also be entered in the relevant fields to find the project you are looking for.

Search to Find a Client

  • Both the main Search bar and the dedicated Search panel in the Clients Page can be used to find the client quickly by their name.
  • The Advanced Search in the Clients section lets you use more filters to narrow down your search like the Client Type or Location. Applying each of these filters will refresh the page to bring you the most relevant results.

  • The Search panel in the Jobs section of the platform can be used to quickly find a job using either its title or location.

In all the above scenarios, the search can be performed by entering all relevant information together in the fields provided in order to get the most relevant results.

When we say that StarAgent is designed to make running an agency easier, we are not exaggerating. Think about it – if something as basic as the Search functionality has been given this much thought, wouldn’t each feature be designed with the agency’s needs in mind? The answer is a loud and wholehearted YES!
